The Guangxi Higher Education Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Educational Technology was officially approved and established in 2024, with Professor Li Xianxian, a recipient of the Special Allowance from the State Council, serving as the director. The research center focuses on key research areas such as educational large model technology, intelligent educational interaction technology, and educational data security technology, aiming to promote the innovative application of intelligent technologies in the field of education.

The research center currently has 62 permanent staff members, including 23 with senior professional titles, 19 doctoral supervisors, and 18 with associate senior professional titles. Among them are 4 individuals selected for national major talent programs, 2 highly cited Chinese researchers, and 15 individuals selected for provincial and ministerial-level talent programs such as the Guangxi "Bagui Scholars" Youth Talent Program. The center has formed a scientific research and innovation team consisting of the "Bagui Scholars" Innovation Team, the Guangxi Autonomous Region Talent Highland, and the Guangxi Natural Science Foundation Innovation Team.

The primary tasks of the center include:

- Focusing on the deep application of large model technology in the field of education, the center is committed to revolutionizing traditional educational models through artificial intelligence technology and promoting the innovative development of intelligent education.

- Addressing the multilingual integration characteristics of intelligent education in multi-ethnic regions and ASEAN countries, the center researches multi-ethnic language content understanding and interaction, representation learning, and transfer learning methods for multilingual content understanding, and constructs knowledge graphs for multi-ethnic language integration.

- Based on cryptography, blockchain, and encrypted computing, the center conducts research on educational data desensitization, ciphertext storage, access control, privacy protection, controlled circulation, trusted sharing, rights and responsibility verification, traceability certification, tamper resistance, and leakage prevention, tailored to different application scenarios. It aims to build a comprehensive and end-to-end security protection technology system for educational data.
