Professor Chengqing Li from Xiangtan University Invited to Deliver an Academic Lecture at Our School

On December 5, 2024, Professor Chengqing Li from Xiangtan University was invited to visit our school and delivered an academic lecture titled Insights into Scientific Paper Writing for Large Models at Room 201, Building 2 of the International Education Building on the Yucai Campus. The lecture aimed to explore effective ways to enhance academic writing skills, providing guidance and practical experience for thesis writing and grant proposal preparation. It attracted over 130 faculty members and graduate students from the school.

During the lecture, Professor Chengqing Li, drawing on years of review experience, delivered an insightful presentation on the key elements of academic papers. He elaborated on the conflicts between layout utilization and logical flow, readability and layout utilization, as well as the resources and new requirements brought by emerging technologies such as AI to scientific paper collaboration. Professor Li also shared resources and strategies for scientific paper writing and presented case studies to help attendees intuitively understand common pitfalls and improvement methods in academic writing.

Before the conclusion of the lecture, the attending faculty and students engaged in further discussion and exchange on how to craft compelling paper narratives. This special lecture provided a valuable learning and exchange opportunity for the attendees, not only clarifying the core elements of scientific paper writing but also offering strong support for research and practice.
