Recently, the 2020 Guangxi Science and Technology Award Ceremony was held in Nanning. One scientific achievement from our institute was honored with the Guangxi Science and Technology Award (Natural Science Category) First Prize, marking a historic breakthrough for our institute in this prestigious award category.
The award-winning project was jointly completed by Professor Shichao Zhang and Professor Xiaofeng Zhu from our institute. The project, titled Several Models for Classification Under Data Selection, addresses the issue of data classification and selection. It reveals various complex relationships among data, proposes robust attribute selection models under sparse learning, and designs precise methods for selecting nearest neighbor data points. This work lays a theoretical and technical foundation for the effective utilization of data resources.
