Computer Science and Technology Program
This program falls under the first-level discipline of Computer Science and Technology as a 4-year engineering specialty. With a long-standing history in our collegeschool, it began enrolling junior college students in 1984 and undergraduate students in 1996. It was recognized as a Guangxi Higher Education Institution's Distinctive and Advantageous Program in 2014. The discipline obtained master's degree authorization for two second-level disciplines—Computer Software & Theory (a Guangxi Key Discipline) and Computer Application Technology—in 1998 and 2003 respectively, followed by first-level discipline authorization in 2010. Supported by an outstanding faculty team, robust disciplinary platforms, and industry-academia collaboration bases, the Computer Science Elite Student Training Base was designated as an Autonomous Region-level Base for Cultivating Top Students in Fundamental Disciplines in 2024.

1. Data Mining & Big Data Processing
This direction Ffocuses on social networks, recommendation systems, business intelligence, media analysis/retrieval, web mining, bioinformatics, and knowledge discovery. Key advantages:

Notable achievements include developing innovative kNN classification models and optimal k-value computation methods. The research Classification Models Under Data Selection won the Guangxi Science and Technology Award (First Class, Natural Science). This direction Aaddresses complex network security modeling, data privacy protection, and distributed system security. Key strengths:
