The unveiling ceremony of the Key Laboratory of Educational Blockchain and Intelligent Technology of the Ministry of Education was held.
On May 5th, the unveiling ceremony of the Key Laboratory of Education Blockchain and Intelligent Technology of the Ministry of Education of Guangxi Normal University was grandly held in the 201 Lecture Hall of the International Education Building 2 in the Yucái Campus. Academic Committee Chairperson of the Key Laboratory, Academician Zheng Zhiming from Beihang University, Deputy Director Jin Zuquan of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, President He Zubin, Vice President Su Guifa and Vice President Sun Jieyuan of Guangxi Normal University attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Su Guifa.
President He Zubin extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the Key Laboratory and the opening of the first academic forum, and expressed sincere welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all the leaders, experts and scholars present. He pointed out that in recent years, the country has attached great importance to research in the field of educational informatization. The approval of this Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education is another important achievement of our university's long-term commitment to scientific innovation, strengthening basic research, and continuously consolidating the foundation for self-reliance and self-strengthening in science and technology. He expressed that the university will provide all-round support for the development of the Key Laboratory and put forward three hopes: hoping to receive continuous guidance and support from the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, strengthen top-level design and direction guidance, and consolidate the basic conditions for scientific research; hoping that the Key Laboratory will adhere to the innovation-driven development strategy, strengthen the national strategic scientific and technological forces, enhance the ability of organized scientific research, and produce more high-quality original results; hoping that all experts, scholars, and outstanding enterprises will work together with our university to exert concerted efforts, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements while strengthening basic research, and make greater contributions to the local economic and social development.
Deputy Director Jin Zuquan of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in his speech, first congratulated on the establishment of the Key Laboratory. He pointed out that the country attaches great importance to educational informatization and digitalization, and the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has actively promoted and strongly supported Guangxi Normal University to make early arrangements, giving full play to the characteristic advantages of the two first-class disciplines in Guangxi, namely Education and Software Engineering, to form a strong alliance and build a high-level multi-disciplinary cross-platform. Jin Zuquan emphasized that the approval of this Key Laboratory is not only a full recognition of our previous efforts by the Ministry of Education, but also a new starting point for further promoting the deep integration of intelligent technology and education. He hoped that the university would earnestly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, leverage the advantages of a comprehensive teacher education university, actively embrace new knowledge and new technologies, keep up with the pace of digitalization and intelligence, actively plan and layout in the field of educational digitalization, forge new development advantages, and strongly support the construction and development of the Key Laboratory. He also hoped that the Key Laboratory would further promote interdisciplinary integration, continuously strengthen the characteristic advantages of multi-disciplinary integration, produce more landmark achievements in the field of educational digitalization, and create new growth points in disciplines. Jin Zuquan promised that the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region would continue to strongly support the construction and development of the university and the laboratory, assist the university in achieving new achievements in scientific research and discipline construction, and strive to make greater contributions to the construction of educational informatization in Guangxi and even the whole country.
Academician Zheng Zhiming congratulated on the establishment of the Key Laboratory and expressed his gratitude for the invitation. He said that the establishment of the Key Laboratory means that the research team of Guangxi Normal University has an important position in the fields of smart education and blockchain, demonstrating the university's mission and responsibility to scale new heights in national strategic fields such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and educational technology. It is a new starting point for stimulating innovation, cultivating talents, and promoting interdisciplinary integration. Academician Zheng then gave an in-depth and easy-to-understand explanation of the relationship between educational informatization and educational blockchain. He pointed out that it is an era of innovation platforms and even more so an era of innovation achievements. He hoped that the university would take the establishment of the Key Laboratory as a starting point and conduct high-end and high-level research. Finally, Academician Zheng Zhiming wished the Key Laboratory greater achievements in its future development. The main responsible persons of the Scientific Research Management Department and the Education Informatization Management Department of the Autonomous Region Education Department, the members of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory, the main responsible persons of the relevant functional departments of our university, the main leaders and key members of the laboratory of the college where the key laboratory is based, as well as representatives from some brother universities and cooperative enterprises within the region attended the event together. After the unveiling ceremony, the first meeting of the Academic Committee of the laboratory and the Intelligent Education and Blockchain Technology Forum were held.
