Currently a Second-Level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Guangxi Normal University, and a Class A Lijiang Scholar. He serves as Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Service Office at Guangxi Science and Technology Normal University. His research focuses on the theoretical foundations and key technologies of artificial intelligence, including image retrieval, image recognition, salient object detection, AI-brain science integration, and medical image analysis and understanding. He has led four National Natural Science Foundation projects (including one Youth Fund) and two Guangxi Natural Science Foundation projects. He has received one Guangxi Science and Technology Natural Science Second Prize (as the first contributor) and has been listed four times in Stanford University's global top 2% scientists ranking. He has published over 50 SCI-indexed papers, including more than 20 in IEEE Transactions series journals (TIPTCSVTTIMTCSSTMITNNLS), Pattern RecognitionInformation Processing & Management, and Expert Systems with Applications. As of July 15, 2024, his first-author and corresponding-author papers in SCI Q1/TOP journals have garnered over 2,300 Google Scholar citations and 1,400 Web of Science citations, with two ESI Highly Cited Papers and five ESI Top 3% Highly Cited Papers. He holds 10 authorized invention patents and has guided students to win a gold medal in the 9th China International Internet+ College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, earning the title of Excellent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mentor.
