He was selected for the 2020-2024 list of the world's top 2% of scientists (selected for five consecutive times), the first batch of outstanding young and middle-aged backbone teachers in Guangxi's higher education institutions, the second batch of Guangxi's Top Ten Hundred Thousand intellectual property (patent) talents, the second batch of the Thousand Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Teachers cultivation program in Guangxi's higher education institutions, the outstanding graduate supervisor of Guangxi Normal University in 2020, and the Top Ten Outstanding Youth of the 9th session of Guangxi Normal University. He serves as an associate editor for the SCI+EI dual-indexed journals IET Image Processing and EURASIP Journal on Image and Video Processing, and as the chair of the program committee for the 21st International Workshop on Digital Forensics and Watermarking. His research interests include image processing, information hiding, multimedia security, and computer vision. He has led four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three projects funded by the Guangxi Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 100 academic papers in internationally renowned SCI journals such as TKDE, TIFS, TDSC, TMM, TCSVT, and TOMM, including over 20 papers in SCI first-tier journals and CCF-A class international journals, over 20 papers in IEEE/ACM transactions, and three ESI top 1% highly cited papers. He has been granted over 10 invention patents and over 50 software copyrights.
